Video Podcast - THROAT SINGING

This video is a demonstration of Inuit throat singing. Heidi Langille and Lynda Brown offer their experience and skill to demonstrate the meaning and differences in throat songs. They have travelled to many different places and performed for heads of state, all to share a little bit of Inuit culture with the world.

We hope this has given you an new insight into the complexities and fun of throat singing. Feel free to get together with a friend and start practicing. You can do it like a round where one person starts with humma humma and then the other comes in as the other pauses before the next time they say it. You will hear the layering effect very quickly. Good luck and have fun.
